OpenAI will send you an email with a link that you would need to follow.  

You will be then requested to introduce yourself

Followed by request for your phone number and validation bycode via sms

 

 

GO TO SETTINGS LABELLED AS "PERSONAL"

Our go directly to    • https://platform.openai.com/account/api-keys

Then open menu in "Personall" and select "View API Keys" 

 

Then locate a button calle " + Create new secret key" 

 And then copy and save the API key from a pop-up window

 It is important to save your API keys after you copied them as there is no way of recovering them after you closed the pop up window (above). If you lost your keys you would need to generate a new one. 

Your API key would look like: sk-DcaZNcHg3PhqqKIXqxWGT3BlcdFJfWJATytarCOHBjnzkaBq
